The City of Phoenix has a position available for a Fire Protection Engineer!
About the Position:
Fire Protection Engineers review building plans and inspect existing structures to ensure conformance to fire protection codes and standards, and to assist in writing and updating fire protection codes. Fire Protection Engineer analyze industrial, commercial, public buildings, and other structures before and after construction; evaluate the fire resistance of structures taking into consideration the usage and contents of buildings and hazard analysis; evaluate the availability of water supplies and water delivery; and evaluate entrance/exit capabilities. Responsibilities include making recommendations for changes in design, materials, or equipment, such as structural components protection, fire protection equipment, alarm systems, and fire extinguishing devices and systems.
