The Town of Florence has a position available for a Building Inspector!

Under general supervision of the Community Development Director and the Building Official the Building Inspector performs inspections of residential and commercial buildings and related systems to ensure compliance with applicable building and fire codes, and to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of the public. The Building Inspector is well versed in the understanding of and interpretation of standard building codes, electrical codes, plumbing codes, applicable federal, state, and local codes, ordinances, laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures. The building inspector will research code related issues in the applicable codes books and initiate any actions necessary to correct deviations or violations.
