The Inspector I reports to the Senior Building Inspector.  The primary function of this position is to conduct field inspections of residential structures or materials and identifying violations and code compliance issues and offenses. Additionally, Inspectors prepare and maintain reports, enforce local, state and federal codes, laws and regulations as well as respond to complaints received from the public. Inspectors also participate in the development of educational materials and maintain applicable databases.
