Yavapai County has a position available for an Environmental Health Specialist II!
Under minimal supervision, responsible for permitting, compliance, and related duties of environmental programs focusing on water, wastewater and solid waste that have been delegated to Yavapai County by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ).
Major Duties, Responsibilities
- Answer questions from the public and staff regarding delegated programs.
- Personnel training, procedure and program development, participate in Delegation Agreement negotiations and rule promulgation with ADEQ.
- Facilitate the review of large projects (subdivisions, water line extensions, sewage collection systems) to determine compliance with applicable rules for issuance of approval documents.
