Yuma County has a position available for a Chief Building/Fire Code Official!
Join our team! We want your application. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree with
course work in planning, architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field; AND six
(6) years of progressively responsible experience as an architect, engineer, inspector, licensed
contractor, or superintendent of construction working with fire and building code inspection in
structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and other related codes and zoning regulations; AND five (5)
years of which shall have been supervisory experience; must possess ICC Chief Building Official
certification or obtain within eighteen (18) months of hire; must possess ICC Fire Marshal certification or
obtain within three (3) years of hire. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits.
