AZBO Fall Institute 2025: A Success!

"Thank you for your time in organizing this training. Love the location, it is closer, more accessible, and having the lake so close for a break during the lunch break (was terrific)...speakers in both of my sessions were knowledgeable and kept the class going.
The food was excellent, ...everything was great!"

~Building Plans Examiner, Scottsdale

"I just want to share that another awesome institute wrapped up this week. Our education chair, co-chair and committee did an excellent job and everything went beyond smoothly. And of course, Shelly's strong work was critical to make sure it happened at all.

I didn't hear a single complaint from anyone. I think it was a great turnout and the classes offered seemed to be well attended and what people wanted.

What an amazing (AZBO) group you all are!"

~ Barbara Rice, AZBO Executive Chair

PDD Newsletter Art - Small (2).png

Dear Planning and Development Department Partners,

This has been an incredibly productive year for Planning and Development. Together, we have strengthened our culture of partnership and service, embraced innovation, and delivered meaningful improvements that benefit our customers and community. I am proud of the dedicated public servants who make this work possible and grateful to our development partners for their continued support.

Together, we are shaping a safe and well-designed city.

Our focus this year has been to listen to our customers, implement meaningful process improvements, and build a foundation for even greater efficiency and transparency in the future. This quarter’s newsletter is a celebration of those efforts and a look ahead at what our department is doing next to better serve our customers.

If you’re interested in contributing to our efforts, please read our 2025 Process Improvements Report, or join us for a listening session (details below) to share your thoughts with us.
